Chilli Paneer

Most people prefer chilli paneer very much, probably you may also like this one of the most popular paneer dishes. The cooking  preparation of this item is very similar to chilli chicken and that’s why it is one of the most adored paneer dishes for non-vegetarian people also. Sufficient quantity of green capsicum is added to this chilli paneer to give it a very special flavor and taste. 

Ingredients

For the batter preparation
  • Corn flour – 1 tbsp
  • Refined wheat flour – ½ tbsp
  • Black pepper powder – 1 tsp, 
  • Soy sauce – 1.5 tsp
  • Cumin – ½ tsp, powder
  • Salt – as needed
For main preparation
  • Paneer – 300 gm
  • Green Capsicum – 1 large size
  • Onion – 2 medium size
  • Tomato puree or sauce or paste – ½ cup
  • Soy Sauce – 2-3 tsp
  • Vinegar – 2 tsp
  • Curd – ½ tbsp
  • Ginger – 2 tsp, paste
  • Garlic – 4-5 cloves, chopped
  • Green chillies – 4
  • Roasted cumin – 1 tsp, powder
  • Roasted coriander – 1 tsp, powder
  • Salt – as needed
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
 

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients and add little water to make thick batter
  2. Now cut paneer into pieces  and dip in batter and fry in oil
  3. Then heat oil in a cooking pan and saute garlic paste, chopped garlic and green chillies for 4 minutes
  4. Now cut capsicum and onion into pieces and add it to cooking pan and fry for another 4-5 minutes
  5. Now take a bowl add tomato puree, soy sauce, curd, roasted cumin, roasted coriander, salt and vinegar then mix all ingredients
  6. Now add that mixture to cooking pan and cook with all other vegetables/ingredients
  7. Just before it becomes almost dried up add fried paneer pieces and mix with all spices/ingredients
  8. Cook for 3-4 minutes with paneer pieces you have with you and then switch off flame when it is well-cooked
